How much is the booking fee?
For every booking you make via Hello Mums we charge £12 via your nominated debit or credit card.
This is our booking fee, not to be confused with the babysitter fee.
How do I pay Hello Mums?
We take payment by debit or credit card through Stripe Pay online payment processing. The booking fees are taken as and when you make a booking.
How much do I pay for the Babysitter?
The fee for the babysitter is £12/hour (apart from Bank Holidays, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s day when it is £15/hour) and the payment is cashless. This means that we will charge the card you used to make the booking once your booking has finished. Minimum booking is four consecutive hours.
How much do I pay if the booking overruns by less than 60 minutes?
We ask you to always round up to the nearest half an hour. For example if you came back at 10:43pm it would be great if you would round up to 11 pm.
Do I have to pay all the hours I booked even if I come back home early?
Yes.
Do I need to pay for a taxi home for the babysitter?
We kindly ask you to pay for a taxi for bookings ending after midnight. Please note we always try to book someone as local to you as possible to keep any taxi costs to a minimum on late bookings.
Do I have to pay the babysitter for travelling time?
No, although we do recommend that you pay them for a minimum of four hours per booking and that you round fractions of an hour up to the next half an hour. In London most babysitters rely on public transport - so if you arrive home later than agreed and no public transport is available, you would be expected to contribute towards the babysitter’s taxi fare.
We do not accept Childcare vouchers or Child Tax Credits as payment.
