How Can We Help?

Who can be a Hello Mums babysitter?

How can I see the online profiles of your babysitters?
Click "Our Babysitters" in the main menu, to see the online profiles of our babysitters. Note that if you're not logged in you'll only be able to see a limited view of each profile; you won't be able to see the babysitter's picture, full summary or details. To see the full profiles of our babysitters just make sure you're logged in, or, if you don't yet have an account, sign up.

What do you mean by professional childcare experience?
All Hello Mums’ babysitters have experience in professional child care employment. Most have worked as qualified nannies, nursery nurses in playgroups and day care centres, teachers and teaching assistants or as registered childminders.

Are all of the babysitters Police Checked?
Absolutely! All of our babysitters are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked (formerly CRB) and many have a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate> They are over 19 years old. We also have a very thorough face to face interview process and always follow up on references.

When can Hello Mums provide care for my children?
We offer our babysitter service in the evenings from 6:00pm and anytime over the weekend. Our babysitters are available for daytime childcare in your own home. We all have times when we have to attend an appointment, meeting or function where it's easier if children are looked after at home.  Many of our babysitters have newborn experience which means that we can help you and your little one during the day as well.

I have some uncertainty about leaving my children with someone I don't know, wouldn't you?
Yes, many parents have these feelings when they leave their children with a babysitter they don't initially know - and then afterwards wonder what they were concerned about! You wouldn't be the first or last to have felt this when leaving your children at a playgroup, nursery or daycare centre. Our babysitters have chosen to work with children because they enjoy it and you'll find that they are quick to put you and your family at ease. What Hello Mums’ clients have found is that their family soon gets to know a small group of babysitters from their area. If it is your first time leaving your little one with someone you do not know we kindly ask you to add 30 minutes extra before you would go out as this time will allow you to talk to your babysitter and make sure you are happy and confident about going out.
