Valuing Play in the Early Years

This course, "The Magic of Play", provides childcarers with a thorough understanding of the crucial role of play in early childhood development, within the framework of the EYFS. It explores the theoretical underpinnings of play, the various types of play, and equips childcarers with practical strategies to support children's holistic growth from infancy to early school years.

Description

"The Magic of Play" course helps you understand why play is so important for children as they grow and find their way in the world. You will explore what the experts tell us about play, and take a closer look at all the different ways children use play to make sense of everything. You'll come away with ideas how to support children's learning and development through play, looking at everything from their thinking and communication to their movement, their relationships, and how they learn to handle their feelings. The course will also explore how to create engaging places for children to play, ensuring everyone can join in, and how to build strong connections with parents and carers.

To receive a CPD Certificate in "The Magic of Play", you will need to pass a multiple-choice test at the end of the course.
You will have three attempts to successfully complete the test. If you are unable to pass after three attempts, you will be directed back to the beginning of the course.
