This course provides essential knowledge and understanding of safeguarding adults at risk.
It aims to equip learners with the skills and awareness necessary to recognise, respond to, and prevent abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults within the UK context. 
The course will cover key legislation and best practices relevant to safeguarding in this setting. 
The course length is approximately 45 minutes. 

Upon completion of this course, you will:
  • Understand the key principles of safeguarding adults in the UK.
  • Be able to recognise different types of abuse relevant to a retirement home setting.
  • Know how to respond appropriately to concerns about an adult at risk in your care.
  • Understand your specific responsibilities as a carer in a retirement home environment.
