Hello Mums Protocol and COVID-19 Guidelines

Hello Mums Protocol and COVID-19 Guidelines

Your safety and health are of crucial importance to us at Hello Mums. This document has been put in place in accordance with the government guidance to ensure maximum hygiene and good practice at all times. You can find the current NHS guidance by clicking here.

According to the new government guidelines nurseries may ask you to do a rapid lateral flow test as you arrive at the nursery. Most nurseries have been provided with hundreds of tests and been asked by the government to test all adults at their settings to test prior to entry.

From the 22nd of March, 2021 all nurseries have been asked to test childcare professionals on-site at the nursery. The nursery will do this test for you and it's free, but some nurseries did not get enough test from the government and for that reason, they kindly ask you that you collect some free tests.

You can use the link provided below. Please read it carefully, click on the COLLECT TEST KIT part and find your nearest collection point. There is usually an option for home delivery of the kits, but at the moment the website does not offer that. So, please if you can collect some free kits and remember to always have one with you when you go to the nurseries in case they have run out of test kits.

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK AND FIND YOUR NEAREST COLLECTION POINT TO COLLECT THE FREE KIT

It is important that we mention that testing is not mandatory and do not need to provide proof of a negative test result to attend nursery in person, although participation in testing is strongly encouraged. If you refuse to test then the nursery has the right to cancel your booking on the spot and you will not be paid for that day.

Therefore, if you accept a job and you are asked to test when you arrive but you refuse, you might be asked to leave and you will not be paid for that job.

For this reason, until a new government guideline is provided, we kindly ask you to only accept jobs if you are happy to be tested.

Please remember:

- must take your uniform with you and change once you arrive in the nursery (black or dark plain top, black or dark trousers and preferable dark indoor shoes).

- must take your DBS and ID with you.
